I started my journal in 2005 with the intent of blogging about life with disabilities and chronic illness. My hope was to increase awareness of accessibility issues, social concerns, etc. Over time, I made friends on LJ and began posting less public entries.
Since early 2002, I have been communicating with Dr. Ken Tittle, who founded Mariposa, a Christian ministry to train people with disabilities to work as peer counselors and to facilitate full inclusion in the church community. When a person has a visual impairment, learning and retain.
